Underwriter

David is a Chartered Insurance Broker and Fellow of the CII.

Starting his insurance career with a mutual life insurance and pensions company, before moving to an independent general insurance broker in Croydon, where David worked with an old school colleague with fond memories of history A level classes!

Moving to Norfolk in 1996, David initially joined Sedgwick Ltd, drafting policy wordings in the Oil & Gas sector, before feeling the urge to become a general insurance underwriter with NFU Mutual where David spent 16 years underwriting large risks and progressing to regional team leader. David was delighted to join Alan Boswell Group in 2016 as a commercial underwriter.

Away from work, David volunteers with the East of England Ambulance Service attending life-threatening calls in his local community, and helps out with Lingwood & Strumpshaw Air Scouts as an Assistant Cub Leader/District Training Manager. David loves “an occasional” drop of Norfolk Ale and keeping a variety of chickens!
